When working with clients, I like to examine not only current behaviors/issues, but also what the root of the behavior/issue is. Once the root is identified, work can begin towards resolving issues and moving forward. The work involved may include things like learning new ways to manage your emotions, challenging negative thinking patterns, or being encouraged to look at situations from a different perspective.
Many times, our most significant growth occurs as a result of learning to cope with challenges that occur in life and the stress that often accompanies change. Therapy can be an excellent tool to help clarify your thoughts, as well as reach a healthy life balance, and I would be honored to assist you on your journey.
A bit of background info on me….
I earned a BSW from Brescia University in 2011 and a MSSW from University of Louisville in 2012. My career in Social Work began in 2011, when I worked as a case manager for the State of KY. In 2013, I began working as a therapist for a Community Mental Health Center before eventually moving into private practice, which I love! I was born and (mostly) raised in Kentucky, which is where I currently reside. In my free time, I enjoy riding my horse, spending time with family (which includes my dogs) and friends, reading, and tending my small hobby farm.
