So, you’ve been thinking about giving counseling a try?
You’re ready to make some changes in your life, but you aren’t quite sure how to make them or where to even start?
The truth is, life is complicated, and sometimes despite our best efforts we struggle.
Maybe you are constantly worrying about repeating unhealthy patterns? Maybe you feel like you didn’t have the greatest childhood and worry about repeating the mistakes of your parents? Perhaps there are things from your past that you thought you had moved on from, but you can’t seem to stop thinking about them?
More often than not, you find yourself spending more time dwelling on and reliving the past, than you do in the present. Old memories you would rather forget are resurfacing and you don’t know how to make them go away.
As a result, are you consistently feeling down and depressed, experiencing low self-esteem, and/or anxiety to the point of feeling on edge, irritable, and ready to lash out at others?
At this point, maybe you aren’t functioning as well in the workplace, experiencing high conflict within relationships, and friends and family are even starting to take notice? You’ve dealt with this for so long, you aren’t sure how to move forward with your life.
I strongly believe that with the right guidance and support, people are very much capable of breaking free from negative cycles and unhealthy thinking patterns/behaviors they develop as a result of issues such as past trauma and family dysfunction.
I’m confident that together we can work to help equip you with the necessary tools to help you face and overcome these challenges! Whether you’re struggling with trauma, anxiety, or relationship/family conflict, it is important that you know you don’t have to be alone in this journey.

As a social worker, I’ve spent the past 9 years working with people impacted by abuse, childhood trauma, violent relationships, drug addiction, and other issues that often times people don’t like to talk about. I’ve learned that many times, our most significant growth occurs as a result of sharing our feelings, learning to cope with challenges that occur in life, and the stress that often accompanies change. My goal as your therapist will be to empower you to heal from any past emotional wounds and cope with any current life difficulties, so that you are able to live life to the fullest!
